Improved Night Vision

Diamon-Fusion® improves night vision because it makes the surface smoother.

As you can see in the video, untreated glass actually has a very rough surface at the microscopic level.  Light waves interact with the world on this microscopic level.  This rough, untreated surface of your windshield (or windscreen) acts like millions of tiny prisms, splitting and deflecting the light in different directions.  This is what produces much of the nighttime glare you experience when driving.  As you see in that same video, Diamon-Fusion makes your windshield (or windscreen) smoother, significantly reducing that splitting and deflection of light, thus reducing the night glare dramatically and making for a safer nighttime driving experience.

 

Improved Driver Reaction Time

University tests prove that Diamon-Fusion® increases reaction time by a full second in rainy conditions. How important is a second? If you are traveling at 40 miles per hour, that second equals 58 feet. As you can see in the photo below, this savings in reaction time will save lives and prevent property damage.

Longevity Of The Benefits

Most people are familiar with that common X-brand rain-repellent coating.  Although a decent product, it is very basic and one dimensional.  You get a few weeks of water-repellency and then you have to reapply it.  That is because the X-brand coating breaks down with exposure to UV light which is always present in sunlight.  Diamon-Fusion® doesn’t break down when exposed to sunlight, so it lasts months, or even years, instead of weeks.

The other determinant of how long a coating will last is abrasion.  Mechanical abrasion, such as windshield (or windscreen) wipers on the windshield (or windscreen), will reduce the performance of any coating.  The more wipers are used, the quicker the coating will wear.  As Diamon-Fusion wears, the first noticeable difference is in the water-repellency.  You may see it start to wane.  The good news is that with a simple application of DFI’s Revitalizer, you can get that “like new” water-repellency right back.  Your dealership may offer DFI’s Peak Performance Program that includes free Revitalizer applications.  The great news is that even once you’ve seen a decrease in water-repellency and even if you haven’t had Revitalizer applied, the impact and scratch resistance of Diamon-Fusion is still present and effective, and will be for years.
